It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Esther Summers today, 26 December 2013, six months after celebrating her centennial.
Not only was she one of historic Beaverdams Church’s greatest friends, but she was also Thorold’s official historian. She is perhaps best remembered for her prodigious memory and stalwart commitment to preserving Thorold’s earliest history — the records of which were donated to the Mayholme Foundation several years ago.
We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.
